Helping you achieve a healthy aesthetic
Buttock Augmentation with fat grafting is performed to improve the contour of the buttocks. This procedure involves liposuction as well as fat grafting. Liposuction is performed to collect fat and to sculpt the adjacent areas to improve the buttock appearance. Fat grafting is the process of injecting your fat into the buttocks to increase the volume and contour of the buttocks.
What to expect during a buttock augmentation
The procedure involves liposuction of various regions of the body to collect enough fat for injection. In all cases, liposuction is performed on the lower back and thighs to help define the buttocks. Once enough fat is harvested the fat is injected into the buttocks. We aim to only inject the fat in the tissues above your gluteus muscles as this is felt to have a higher safety profile. This procedure does have serious risks and we will discuss these details during your consultation.
Taking the time to properly heal
After surgery you should wear a compression garment for 4 weeks to the areas liposuction was performed. You should also avoid sitting on your buttocks for 3-4 weeks after surgery to avoid injuring the fat that was injected. Wearing compression socks and walking multiple times per day is recommended to avoid a blood clot in your legs. Further restrictions and details will be discussed during your consultation.
